Milltek Sport Takes Headline Sponsorship of Audi Driver International 2013
Respected exhaust manufacturer Milltek Sport has announced that it is to take the title sponsorship of the popular Audi Driver International show for 2013.
The action-packed event, now in its 11th year, offers something unique in the Audi social calendar, with a show and track day element at Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire, followed by a full gala award dinner at the nearby Hilton Hotel in Swindon, where the great and the good of the Audi world are recognised for their contributions to the scene.
As stalwart Audi enthusiasts, Milltek didn’t have to go very far to get suitable show cars for their stand, as most of them come straight from the firm’s burgeoning VW Group fleet! Parked in front of the firm’s impressive 40 foot trailer will be their own demo Audi RS4, an Audi S5 showcasing their exciting new ‘Valvesonic’ technology and their new Golf ‘RS’ – A beautifully engineered showcase of a Golf R, but unusually fitted with an Audi RS3 engine! The very best of both worlds and thought to be the first running car thus equipped in the UK.
As well as fast-lapping sessions on the circuit throughout the day, there will be demo drives and parade laps. The paddock area promises many additional attractions including trade stands and displays, a Show ’n’ Shine and Concours, club line-ups and displays, a technical forum, car sales and autojumble area. Commenting on the association, Milltek Sport managing director Steve pound said. “Audi Driver International is a perfect fit for the Milltek brand, and we’re delighted to be the headline sponsor this year. The Audi scene is in a very good place at the moment, and I can’t think of a better way to spend a day than meeting fellow enthusiasts and enjoying a little track time in our own demo cars. I look forward to meeting many of our dealers and end-users there too.”
Further details of all the individual attractions can be found at audidriverinternational.co.uk. Spectators are welcome at Castle Combe during the day. The gates are open to the public from 8.30am to 5pm and admission costs just £10 per adult (children free of charge).
