Milltek Sport to put on quite a show at the Forge Action Day on 13th September
The Forge Motorsport Action Day is returning once again on Saturday 13th September at Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire. Thousands are expected to attend the show where there will be 100+ owner’s clubs and a remarkable display from manufacturers and traders alike!
Drifting demonstrations are back this year so if you didn’t catch them last year, the demonstrations are an absolute must-see attraction. The Castle Combe regulars, the Drift Battles, will commence proceedings, followed closely by Acorn Infinity Motorsport and Team Falken. Expect to see burning tyres, plenty of smoke and cars getting scarily close to each other (at times, just inches apart!).
Star of the British Touring Car Championship, Rob Austin, is also set to star at the Action Day, along with his affectionately named NGTC Audi ‘Sherman’. Rob has expressed his fondness of the Castle Combe Circuit describing it as “ranked up there as a proper old school circuit where the driver can make a real difference – my kind of circuit”. Rob’s popularity has skyrocketed over the last few seasons so his presence is likely to attract even more motorsport enthusiasts to the event.
Milltek Sport will be attending the event and bringing some of their most exciting demo vehicles with them which will be sure to “wow” spectators and attract a huge crowd. A rather special new project car will also be revealed, a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 2.0 TSi which has come all the way from the US. The Milltek Sport Jetta has undergone a total transformation and is believed to be the first full conversion of the Mk6 GLI to full factory-spec haldex 4wd and is running over 400bhp - So it's definitely worth dropping by the Milltek Sport stand.
In addition to the Jetta, Milltek Sport will also be doing hot laps around the circuit in their awesome 500bhp+ Audi S7 4.0-litre twin-turbo, their Mk7 VW Golf R, VW Golf Mk6 24hour diesel race car and their Audi TTS with new 3-inch Race exhaust.
Late-2014 sees the launch of Milltek Classic, a range of performance exhaust systems, designed and engineered by Milltek Sport's highly-acclaimed engineers and, built from the finest stainless steel in their own facilities in Derbyshire, England. Having seen a rise in demand from classic car owners for a range of exhausts that offer performance gains and improved sound but retain that 'factory appearance', Milltek got to work on meeting their needs.
Milltek Sport have invested in a few classic cars to use as development vehicles and the Forge Action day is one of the first opportunities to see them in action. The team will be bringing along their VW Golf Mk1 GTi and Audi UR Quattro demo cars to allow fans to get up close and personal with them.
As always, Milltek Sport’s expert staff will be on hand and happy to answer any of your technical questions.
