Derived from armourment technology, Cerakote is the ideal finish on Milltek’s increasingly popular black trims. Vastly superior to all paint and powder coat finishes, Cerakote is a ceramic-based technology that offers a far greater resistance to being scratched or impacted, as well as being able to maintain its finish for much longer, even under constant heat cycling, making it ideal the perfect solution for Milltek’s ultra-high performance applications. Also, due to its ability to resist deterioration from both chemical and salt attack, it’s also the perfect finish for cars that live in less hospitable climates – like the UK, for example!
Milltek’s shapely GT100 trims have become a staple part of its range, due to the fact they fit so well in so many factory bumper apertures. Many of the company’s systems now offer this tip as an option, including the VW Golf Mk6 R, Audi S6, Ford Focus ST Mk3, Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring, Nissan Juke, Porsche Panamera Turbo and SEAT Leon Cupra R, as well as many others.
Best of all, despite its clear advantage over all other surface coatings, Milltek have taken the unusual decision to offer it as a no-cost option for all customers. It will also be rolled out as an option to other trims and components within the range throughout 2014.
